RESTORATIVE & YIN XL (EN-NL)

Restorative & Yin is een zachte, therapeutische vorm van yoga waarin de tijd wordt genomen om dieper in het lichaam te keren. De houdingen stimuleren de doorstroming van energie door het lichaam, waarbij door middel van bolsters, blokken en dekentjes de houdingen aangepast worden aan het lichaam.

Voor alle houdingen worden zowel Restorative als Yin opties gegeven, zodat elke deelnemer de practice kan aanpassen aan de attributen die hij / zij thuis heeft dan wel wat het lichaam nodig heeft.

Wat zit er inbegrepen in de prijs?

  • De LIVE workshop stream.
  • Optioneel: online thee na de workshop, met ruimte voor gesprekken & de mogelijkheid om iets te delen als je dit wil.
  • Een opname van de workshop, welke je de dag na de workshop in je mailbox ontvangt.

Taal: Nederlands, tenzij een van de deelnemers geen Nederlands spreekt. In dat geval zal de workshop twee-talig worden gegeven.

Restorative & Yin is a soft, therapeutic form of yoga, in which we take the time to dive deeper into the body. All poses stimulate the energy flow through the body, and can be adjusted with bolsters, blocks and blankets.

For all poses that we will do in this workshop, two options will be given: a Restorative and a Yin option, depending on the props you have at home & what your body needs at that point in time.

What is included in the price:

  • The LIVE workshop stream.
  • Optional online tea afterwards – room for chatting & sharing.
  • Recording of the workshop, that you will receive the day after the workshop is done.

If one of the participants does not speak Dutch, this workshop will be taught in a combination of English & Dutch.

The Theory Behind Chakra Yoga – (EN)

Traditionally, the Indian tradition describes seven Chakras, or energy wheels, that are arranged from the base of the spine all the way up to the top of the head. These energy wheels signify the points where different energy lines cross each other and are connected to different physical, emotional and spiritual states.

In this course, you will learn more about what these chakras actually entail; you are not only going to learn more about how they are connected to different physical aspects and emotional states, but also what you can do to stimulate the energy connected to each specific chakra (for example by practicing yoga poses, eating certain food and more).

Asana Technique – Mountain pose & (Ardha) Uttanasana (EN-NL)

So what are those particular yoga poses really about? How can I tailor the pose to suit my body and my needs? Discover your yoga, by looking in-depth at one or two poses at the time! 

Mountain pose (Tadasana) is the primary pose for a lot of yoga asana’s; in this second asana technique class, we will go back to this strong pose, which can support you in so many other yoga poses. From there we will move down towards the half forward fold & forward fold. Come and explore the relation between alignment & what your body needs in these poses!

This workshop is suited for all levels and all body types; your yoga is unique, let’s discover it together!

Asana Technique – High- & Low Plank pose (EN-NL)

So what are those particular yoga poses really about? How can I tailor the pose to suit my body and my needs? Discover your yoga, by looking in-depth at one or two poses at the time! 

Diving into our core with this third asana technique class! Discovering wrist safety, shoulder anatomy & hip movement as part of these strong poses. We will also play around with alternative options to assist you in your journey towards (especially) low plank.

Yogic Philosophy – (EN)

Yoga consists of more than practicing poses during your favorite yoga-classes. Everything we do throughout the yoga-classes that you are used to, is based upon the ancient principles of Yogic philosophy. In this course we will explore the principles and philosophy behind our yoga-practice; starting with a general overview of the origins of Yoga and the famous eightfold path of Patanjali. If you are looking to deepen your yoga practice in theory as well as in practice, then this course is for you! Adding to your existing yoga practice, we will add some theoretical knowledge.

    • Week 1 : General History of Yoga
    • Week 2 : Yama
    • Week 3 : Niyama
    • Week 4 : Asana & Pranayama
    • Week 5 : Pratyahara, Dharana & Dhyana
    • Week 6 : Samadhi – closing the course

Asana Technique – Cobra pose & Up Dog (EN-NL)

So what are those particular yoga poses really about? How can I tailor the pose to suit my body and my needs? Discover your yoga, by looking in-depth at one or two poses at the time! 

Discovering the strength of backbends in a soft & strong way. Discovering the difference between the different ‘cobra’s’; from low to high & from yang to yin. Do you have a sensitive lower back? No worries; did you know that backbends can actually support back strength and help to reduce lower back issues? We will review safe & conscious ways of doing these backbends without the fear of injury!
